The reason behind using rectangular quad loop as driven element of Yagi is, its direct 50 Ohm so no matching transformer needed, it has more gain than folded dipole\/dipole so when combining with parasitic elements of Yagi it becomes a high gain antenna and due to full wave loop its very low noise antenna. With hours of carefully simulation and  optimization through latest electromagnetic code based simulation computer program we finally needed up with this interesting low noise antenna which is meant for this current situation of high electromagnetic interferences all over . You can hear the weakest station clearly due to low noise and at the same time you will be heard due to high forward gain.
